Which cruise line owns Global Dream?

The Global Dream, an unfinished ship that Disney Cruise Line acquired last November, will be renamed the Disney Adventure, Disney said at its Destination D23 event on Sept. 9. In March, Disney said it will base a new ship in Singapore starting in 2025, and the Disney Adventure will be that ship.

The massive vessel originally known as Global Dream is now owned by Disney Cruise Line. Following the collapse of Genting Hong Kong (the parent company of Dream Cruises) in 2022, Disney purchased the partially completed 208,000-gross-ton ship. It has been renamed the Disney Adventure and is currently undergoing a massive reimagining by Walt Disney Imagineers at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. Scheduled to begin revenue service in March 2026, the ship will be based in Singapore, serving the Asian market. With a capacity for roughly 6,000 guests, it will be the largest ship in the Disney fleet and one of the first in the industry to be fueled by green methanol, marking a major expansion of Disney's presence in the Eastern Hemisphere.
