Which direction is better on the Indian Pacific?

Which direction should you choose? The Indian Pacific runs in two directions: Perth to Sydney and Sydney to Perth. Contrary to what you may think (it runs along the same train-line after all!) the journeys and excursions are different. If you are an outback lover, we would recommend starting in Sydney.
