When looking at Disney parks that are physically close enough to visit within the same day, the Disneyland Resort in California is the leader; Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are separated only by a 100-yard pedestrian plaza called the Esplanade. Similarly, Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park (Disney Adventure World) are right next to each other, sharing a main entrance hub. Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are also very close, connected by a short ride on the Disney Resort Line monorail. In contrast, the four theme parks at Walt Disney World in Florida are miles apart; for example, Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are roughly 10 miles (16 km) apart, requiring bus, monorail, or Skyliner transportation. Globally, Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort are in different regions entirely, requiring a flight between them.
