Which Disneyland Park is better in Paris?

Disneyland Paris consists of two parks just a few minutes' walk apart. Disneyland Park is where you'll want to spend most of your time. It has the fairytale castle, classic characters, and plenty of rides and attractions. Walt Disney Studios Park is much smaller and is one of Disney's weaker parks.

Disneyland Park is widely considered the superior park for first-time visitors and those seeking the classic "Disney Magic." It features the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle and the themed lands of Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland, and Frontierland. It is significantly larger, with a higher volume of rides, the main daily parade, and the spectacular nightly fireworks show. Walt Disney Studios Park (recently rebranded as Disney Adventure World) is undergoing a massive multi-year expansion that will continue through 2026. While it is the home of the Avengers Campus and Pixar-themed attractions like Crush's Coaster and Ratatouille, large sections have been under construction. For 2026, Disneyland Park remains the better choice for its timeless atmosphere and full-day experience, while the Studios park is best for thrill-seekers and Marvel fans who have a "Park Hopper" ticket to do both.

That’s an excellent question, and the answer depends entirely on what you’re looking for in a Disney experience. There isn’t one “better” park overall, but there is a “better park for you.”

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the two parks at Disneyland Paris to help you decide.

Disneyland Park (The “Castle Park”)

This is the original, iconic park with the pink Sleeping Beauty Castle. It’s the heart of the resort, focused on classic Disney magic, fairy tales, and nostalgia.

Best For: First-time visitors, families with young children, Disney purists, and those seeking the classic “Walt Disney” atmosphere.

Highlights: Sleeping Beauty Castle: Its unique design, dragon lair underneath, and balcony show make it a standout. Classic Rides: Big Thunder Mountain (often considered the best version in the world), Phantom Manor (a darker, unique take on Haunted Mansion), Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain. Themed Lands: Explore Fantasyland (for fairy tales), Discoveryland (a steampunk-inspired Tomorrowland), and Adventureland. Parades & Nighttime Spectaculars: The daily parade and the Disney D-Light & Disney Illuminations nighttime show are spectacular.

Vibe: Timeless, romantic, storybook magic. It’s slower-paced in areas but has major thrill rides.

Walt Disney Studios Park

This park is dedicated to the “backstage” magic of movies, animation, and television. It has undergone a massive, multi-year transformation.

Best For: Thrill-seekers, fans of Pixar and Marvel, those who prefer more modern attractions, and visitors adding a second day.

Highlights: Avengers Campus: The newest land, home to Avengers Assemble: Flight Force (a re-themed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster) and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. World-Class Thrill Rides: Crush’s Coaster (extremely popular family coaster), The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, RC Racer. Pixar Land: Featuring the wonderful Ratatouille
