Santorini is somewhat of a cliché choice to kick-off the list, but there are a multitude of reasons why the film-set stunning island is considered one of the most beautiful islands in Greece.
Kefalonia. Kefalonia is one of the largest Greek islands, but one of the lesser-visited. This means that you can explore the island's rugged mountains, fir forests and magical caves in peace, away from huge huddles of tourists.
The most affordable Greek Islands to visit include Crete, Andros, Tinos, Corfu and Naxos. These cheap Greek Islands don't get nearly as many visitors as others, making everything from transportation to food and accommodations more affordable. And often, they're not even very far from the more popular islands.

Mykonos. You can't possibly list the best islands for partying in Greece without making some reference to the Mykonos. Often referred to as the Ibiza of Greece, the cosmopolitan island in the Cyclades is filled with bars and clubs for you to let your hair down, no matter the day of the week.
Corfu is clearly the closest, but only 45 minutes more to the furthest, Crete. The flight times quoted to the nearest island, Corfu, are often bettered in practice if there are favourable winds. I have know them take under 3 hours.
Athens is a walkable city and its historic center is easy to navigate, while public transport is affordable. Stroll along the pedestrianized grand promenade, created as part of city refurbishment ahead of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. It snakes around the Acropolis and links key archaeological sites.
