How does the Airbus A330 compare to the Boeing 767? The Airbus A330 is a newer, more advanced widebody aircraft compared to the Boeing 767. While both aircraft are superficially similar, the A330 is the superior aircraft of the two.
People Also Ask
Is Airbus A330 a good plane? Looking at the respective operational ranges of these aircraft, the A330 competes very strongly with the 777. Indeed, the A330-200 outranks any first-generation 777 variant, with the A330-300 also beating the Boeing 777-300.
The Airbus A330 has an outstanding record of safety compared to the 767. While there have been crashes involving the A330, no crash has ever been directly attributable to the basic design of the aircraft.
Airbus' largest A330s are on par with Boeing's smallest 777s. In other words, the Boeing 777 targets a higher capacity than the A330. Measuring over 10 meters longer than the A330-300 and the 777-200, the 777-300 seats a significantly higher number of passengers.
Cabin comfort andThe A330's modern cabin enables the installation of Airbus-standard wide seats that bring a high level of comfort and relaxation to long-haul flights – even in economy.
The a330 has tilted main gear that helps make it feel like a smoother touch down then other planes. Due to the advanced computer and fly by wire system, it is easier to make a landing feel soft than on some other planes. So basically the plane is good at butter landings so they call it the butter machine.
Safety is the priority for airlines. Airlines are sensitive to passengers' perceptions of safety, having randomly assigned the Boeing 737 Max to routes and times. Historically, Boeing has been considered more reliable and safer than Airbus.
Therefore, the ERJ135/140/145 members of the family are among the safest airliners in history. The Airbus A340 is also one of the safest, with no fatal accidents involving any of the 380 units since its introduction in March 1993.
However, the new Upper Class seats on the A330-900 and A350 are simply fantastic and hands down my favorite way to cross the Atlantic. You can easily see which plane is flying your route by clicking the “Details” button when you search for flights on the Virgin Atlantic website.

My conclusion on the A330 is that, it is a very safe airplane but because of its wing design, any turbulence tends to be more pronounced than, for instance, on a Boeing 777.
The Boeing 767 is an American wide-body aircraft developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The aircraft was launched as the 7X7 program on July 14, 1978, the prototype first flew on September 26, 1981, and it was certified on July 30, 1982.
Boeing's mid-capacity widebody 767 has proven to be a staple of long haul flying. With a healthy range and better economics than the 747, it was the pioneer of twinjet ETOPS and enabled more airlines to operate on a point to point model.
Boeing aircraft often incorporate more tactile feedback and manual controls in their cockpit systems, which appeal to pilots who prefer a traditional flying experience. Airbus planes emphasize automation and computerized systems, reducing pilot workload but offering less hands-on control.
But if you're faced with the choice between an Airbus A320 family jet and a Boeing 737, you might want to go with the former. Thanks to the wider cabin, reduced cabin-wall curvature and better-placed windows, the Airbus offers a more comfortable ride than the 737, all else being equal.
