Which is better Bainbridge or Bremerton?

Bremerton is good for a longer ride (an hour) and some good old fashioned military history (old war ship tour, free navy museum, etc).. Bainbridge island is quick and has more cutesy, artsy shops and stuffs. Bremerton is longer and ferries are less frequent.

The Rockaway Beach and Port Blakely Neighborhoods Rockaway Beach Road is one of our most famous streets on the island. The majority of the homes in this area are directly on low bank waterfront. The lots are smaller, but the views of Seattle and the Space Needle are dramatic.

The Bainbridge Island ferry is a must if you are visiting Seattle. We went to the island for the day, had a wonderful lunch and wandered around downtown. It was a clear sunny day and we had a breath taking view of Mount Olympia (Olympus) from the ferry.
