Which JFK terminal has immigration?

They operate a shuttle between terminals 4 and 8. Any terminal you arrive at on an international flight will have an immigration/customs facility. You don't have to change terminals for that.

At New York's JFK Airport in 2026, immigration and customs facilities are located in Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Terminal 4 is the largest international hub, serving major carriers like Delta, Emirates, and Virgin Atlantic. Terminal 1 (which includes the newly opened sections of the New Terminal One) handles a massive volume of international arrivals from Air France, Lufthansa, and Japan Airlines. Terminal 8 is the primary home for American Airlines and British Airways. Terminal 5, while primarily domestic for JetBlue, has its own customs facility for international arrivals from the Caribbean and Europe. Terminal 7 remains an active international gateway for several smaller carriers and Aer Lingus. Note that Terminal 6 is currently under heavy construction and is not handling arrivals. If you are arriving on a domestic flight with an international connection, you generally do not pass through immigration unless you are re-entering the country from abroad.
