Which Norwegian cruise ships have observation lounge?

You can find an observation lounge onboard Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy, & Norwegian Encore. Check out our full complete walkthrough of the Observation Lounge onboard Norwegian Joy!

In 2026, the most spectacular Observation Lounges in the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) fleet are found on the "Breakaway Plus" class and the "Prima" class ships. These massive, 180-degree glass-walled lounges are located at the front of the ship, offering panoramic views that are particularly popular on Alaska and Panama Canal itineraries. Ships featuring these expansive public observation lounges include Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian Prima. Additionally, older ships like Norwegian Spirit (newly refurbished) and Norwegian Sun feature smaller but very cozy observation areas. On the Breakaway Plus ships, the lounge often includes its own bar and light buffet service, allowing guests to relax in a climate-controlled environment while watching glaciers or port arrivals. Note that "The Haven" guests also have access to their own private Horizon Lounge on these ships, which provides a similar but more exclusive panoramic experience.

Cruise fare for a room in The Haven varies by cabin category, length of cruise and destination. Expect to pay an average of $3,000 per person for a weeklong sailing in one of The Haven suites. Another rule of thumb: you'll pay between twice to eight or ten times as much for a Haven room as a regular cabin.

The most stable part of the ship is its lowest point of gravity, so on a lower deck, at the center. You'd feel a lot less motion here than, say, in a stateroom on the upper decks a long way forward or aft (towards the back of the ship).
