Journey of Water Inspired by Moana is a new attraction coming to EPCOT at Walt Disney World in the front of the park between Spaceship Earth and World Showcase.

Te Fiti Will Watch Over the Journey of WaterThe Te Fiti you'll see in EPCOT was developed in a close collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and its Creative Legacy team.
Te Fiti does not exist in Polynesian mythology, but there is a goddess of fire, lightning, wind, and volcanoes called Pele. The spiral on Te Fiti's heart, Moana's necklace, and on the sail of her boat is called a koru. Te Fiti slightly resembles the Spring Sprite from the Firebird Suite segment in Fantasia 2000.

In terms of the latest news, Walt Disney World announced that Moana will greet fellow voyagers on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park beginning April 22, 2023.
