Disney's Riviera Resort is located in the EPCOT resort area and is technically closest to EPCOT. In fact, it is so close that guests in many of the higher-tier rooms can see the "Spaceship Earth" geosphere and the nightly fireworks perfectly from their balconies. The resort is connected to EPCOT via the Disney Skyliner, which takes only a few minutes to travel from the Riviera station to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT (located between the France and United Kingdom pavilions). While it is also very near Disney's Hollywood Studios—also accessible by a short Skyliner ride with a quick transfer at the Caribbean Beach hub—the physical distance to the EPCOT boundary is shorter. The resort's design is inspired by the European Riviera, which fits perfectly with its proximity to the World Showcase side of EPCOT. For those who prefer walking, there isn't a direct pedestrian path to the parks like there is from the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach Club, so the Skyliner remains the primary and most scenic transportation method for reaching its two closest neighboring theme parks.
