Which side of Lake Tahoe is more scenic drive?

Most folks on this board would recommend the west side. But I think the Nevada (east) side is better. It is shorter, there is less traffic, and the very prettiest place on the entire lake is at Sand harbor on the NE corner of the lake.

As far as the best views in Lake Tahoe on the east side of the lake go, Sand Harbor is a must-stop. The combination of pine trees, crystal-clear water, and giant boulders all along the lakeshore provide a ripe setting for really beautiful photos, no hiking necessary.
