Which steam trains go to Cornwall 2023?

Sunday 30th July 2023 The 'Royal Duchy' provides an opportunity to visit the famed Royal Duchy of Cornwall by steam train. Highlights of the day will be the steam hauled journey from Bristol along the famous Dawlish sea wall and over the south Devon banks to Plymouth.

The historic Flying Scotsman train will be coming to Cornwall this weekend as part of its centenary year celebrations. The record-breaking steam train, first built in 1923, will be making a trip from Bristol Temple Meads to Par on Sunday, April 30.

During 2023, as well as days out on the mainline, Flying Scotsman can be seen at free static events at the National Railway Museum and other locations. The iconic loco will also be in action at a number of heritage railways around the UK and at Locomotion in Shildon.
