Who is eligible for Lyft Express pay?

Eligibility: To use Express Pay, you must be a Lyft driver who has completed at least one ride and has earned at least $5.50 in ride payments after Lyft's service fee. Link a Debit Card: You'll need to link a debit card to your Lyft account.

In 2026, Lyft Express Pay eligibility is available to most active drivers who meet a few specific criteria. First, you must have earned at least $5.00 in a single day (note that starting February 25, 2026, the transfer fee increases to $1.75, so you'll need at least $6.75 to make it worthwhile). You must also have a valid, non-prepaid U.S. debit card linked to a checking account that supports "push-to-debit" transactions. Drivers are ineligible if their account is currently "under review" for safety or fraud reasons, or if they are subject to certain legal wage garnishments. Most drivers can use Express Pay up to five times per day, with a maximum daily transfer limit of $3,000. If you want to avoid fees entirely and get paid instantly after every single ride without the transfer charge, Lyft encourages signing up for their "Lyft Direct" banking debit card instead.
