Who owns Big Splash in Tulsa?

In August 2015, “Safari Joe” Matthew Estes, the operator of Safari Joe's Exotic Wildlife Rescue in Adair, became owner of the park.

The water park formerly known as Big Splash, located on the Tulsa County Fairgrounds, is currently owned and operated by Paradise Beach Water Park LLC. The park underwent a major transformation and ownership change in 2015 when it was purchased by Joe Estes, better known as "Safari Joe," who rebranded it as Safari Joe's H2O. Under his ownership, the park integrated animal exhibits and a "safari" theme. However, in December 2022, the park was sold again to Paradise Beach Water Park LLC, which began a multi-year renovation project to modernize the facilities. For the 2026 season, the park continues to operate under the "Paradise Beach" brand, focusing on updated slide complexes and family amenities. While many locals still affectionately refer to it as Big Splash or Safari Joe's, the current legal ownership resides with the Paradise Beach investment group, which has committed to maintaining the site as Tulsa's premier outdoor aquatic destination.
