Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport is owned and operated by Groupe ADP (formerly Aéroports de Paris). Groupe ADP is a public limited company in which the French Government remains the majority shareholder, holding approximately 50.6% of the capital as of 2026. The remaining shares are owned by institutional investors (like Royal Schiphol Group) and individual shareholders, as the company is listed on the Euronext Paris exchange. While there have been long-standing political debates in France regarding the full privatization of Groupe ADP, the government has maintained its controlling stake to ensure oversight of this critical national infrastructure. Beyond CDG, Groupe ADP also owns and operates Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget, as well as holding stakes in a global network of over 25 airports through its "TAV Airports" and "GMR Airports" partnerships, making it one of the largest airport operators in the world by passenger volume.
