Who owns Disneyland Hotel?

The Disneyland Hotel is a resort hotel located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, owned by the Walt Disney Company and operated through their Parks, Experiences and Products division.

The Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California, is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Disney Experiences division. However, its history of ownership is quite unique compared to other Disney properties. When Disneyland Park opened in 1955, Walt Disney did not have the capital to build a hotel himself, so he negotiated a deal with his friend Jack Wrather. Wrather owned and operated the hotel for over 30 years under a licensing agreement. It wasn't until 1988, under the leadership of Michael Eisner, that Disney finally acquired the Wrather Corporation for approximately $152 million, bringing the iconic hotel (and the rights to The Lone Ranger and Lassie) fully under Disney control. Today, it remains one of the three official on-property resorts at the Disneyland Resort, featuring the recently opened Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
