Terminal 2 (T2) at Dublin Airport is primarily used by Aer Lingus and major transatlantic carriers. As the main hub for Ireland's national airline, Aer Lingus operates all of its long-haul and most of its short-haul flights out of T2. Other prominent airlines using the terminal include American Airlines, Delta, United, Air Canada, Emirates, and Etihad. Terminal 2 is specifically designed to facilitate long-haul travel, featuring the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Pre-clearance facility, which allows passengers traveling to the United States to clear all immigration and customs checks before they even leave Ireland. Most other European and low-cost carriers, including Ryanair, Air France, and Lufthansa, continue to operate out of Terminal 1. If you are flying to North America or the Middle East from Dublin, you are almost certain to be departing from the modern, glass-fronted Terminal 2.
