Why are Disney parking trams not running?

Disney World eliminated its tram services during the COVID-19 pandemic, returning the Trams to Magic Kingdom in 2021 and Animal Kingdom in 2022. This is the first time the services will be offered at all four parks since 2020. An exact date has not been announced yet.

Parking trams returned to the Disneyland Resort on February 23, 2022. At the beginning of January 2023, we were hopeful of a return at EPCOT due to new signage being installed which includes reference to parking trams. Now, we have confirmation that they have returned to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

At most, you can expect a 10-minute walk. The distance from the Magic Kingdom Park parking lot to the park entrance is quite a bit farther than those of the parking lots for the other three theme parks. When you visit Magic Kingdom Park, you'll park your vehicle at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

If you drive, the Magic Kingdom Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) parking lot opens about 2 hours before the park's official opening. After paying a fee, you're directed to a parking space, then transported by tram to the TTC, where you catch either a monorail or a ferry to the park's entrance.

No, Disney's Magical Express is NOT coming back. Since the Magical Express ended, we've seen 2 major companies essentially “fill the void” of that service, transporting guests to and from the Orlando International Airport and their Disney World hotels (for a fee).

Yes. You can definitely drop people off at all the parks without paying a parking fee. When you pull up to the parking attendant, simply tell them you are dropping off and they will direct you where to go.

Epcot. Parking for Epcot is located straight out in front of the park. Guests that are parking roughly 45-60 minutes before the park opens can expect to have an easy walk to the gates. In many instances, guests parking that early will not even need to use the tram.

How often do the buses run? The standard line is that Disney buses run about every 20 minutes. In practice, this could be as often as every five minutes or as infrequently as every 30 minutes, depending on the time of day and crowd levels at Walt Disney World.

Disney Shuttles Disneyland transportation is free when you park at either Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, Pixar Pals Parking Structure or Toy Story Parking Lot. Shuttle service is offered at the Toy Story Parking Lot to transport guests from the lot to the park entrance.

The Epcot Monorail will not get you any closer. If there is a park-to-park bus, that could work, but I don't see it being any faster. Park at the Magic Kingdom...you aren't saving yourself any time by going to EPCOT.
