Why do Disney rides close during the day?

Rides close down all the time in Disney World — it's just a part of the reality of theme parks! Whether it comes down to the weather, technical malfunctions, refurbishments, or any other myriad of reasons, it's common to see at least one ride unexpectedly closed every day in Disney World.
