Why do I have to go in person to renew TSA PreCheck?

There are two main reasons why you might be asked to schedule an appointment at an enrollment center during your renewal: Your legal name or sex has changed since your first enrollment or your most recent renewal. The fingerprints taken at your last enrollment screening were low-quality.
