Why is Casa Loma so famous?

Casa Loma stood as a monument to its creator – it surpassed any private home in North America. With soaring battlements and secret passageways, it paid homage to the castles and knights of days gone by. To this day it remains one of the only true castles in North America.

Casa Loma is a Gothic Revival mansion in Toronto, Canada. The name means “House on the Hill” in English and was constructed by the Canadian financier and soldier Sir Henry Pellatt. He built the house for his wife Mary. But, unfortunately, they were only able to enjoy the comfort of the house briefly.

We did the tour of Casa Loma before the Escape Room and took lots of pictures! Before you go into the Escape Room you are required to lock all valuables- including phones and cameras- in a trunk that you collect on your way out.
