Why is Hagrid ride closing? The attraction will be closed from February 21, 2023, until March 5, 2023. It is believed the closure will allow Universal to fix the damage to the queue that was sustained during Hurricane Ian last year, as well as other upkeep and maintenance. Please keep in mind that these dates can change.

But over the years, I feel like they got rid of it because it was getting outdated, hard to keep up, and they had a lot of reported injuries. Also, they removed the dueling aspect of it after awhile, so it lost it's appeal.
