Why is my Disney Magic key not working?

If it previously showed up in the Disneyland mobile app and hasn't expired, it should be under "Tickets and Passes." There might be a technical glitch occurring, which could be fixed by restarting the app, restarting your device, or relinking the pass.

If your Disneyland Magic Key is not working in 2026, the most common reason is a Theme Park Reservation issue; even with an annual pass, you cannot enter the park without a confirmed reservation for that specific day. Another possibility is a "No-Show" penalty; as of 2026, if you miss three reservations in a 90-day window, your ability to make new reservations is "frozen" for 30 days. Additionally, check the Blockout Calendar for your specific tier (e.g., the new Explore Key or the Inspire Key), as many passes are restricted during peak holidays. Lastly, ensure your pass is properly linked in the Disneyland app and that your payment plan is up to date; if a monthly payment fails, the pass is instantly deactivated until the balance is settled. If all else fails, a visit to the "Ticket Add-Ons" window at the gate can usually resolve technical glitches.
