Why is South Terminal Gatwick closed?

London Gatwick's South Terminal was mothballed shortly after the start of the pandemic, with operations concentrated in the smaller North Terminal. But when airlines' summer schedules begin on Sunday 27 March, the South Terminal will resume operations.
