Flooding Hits Wyoming Valley: Emergency Crews Respond to Street Flooding


Kingston : Recent weather conditions have caused widespread flooding in the streets surrounding Wyoming Valley, prompting emergency crews to take action.


Numerous reports of flooded streets have prompted emergency responders to address the situation in the Wyoming Valley area.


As of 2:00 p.m., most of the roads in Kingston and Wilkes-Barre have been successfully drained and cleared.


Flooding has resulted in the closure of Route 61 (Hamilton Underpass) in the City of Sunbury, between Highland Avenue and Green Street, as reported by PennDOT. Additionally, Route 2018 (Brush Valley Road) in Rockefeller Township has been shut down between Schock Road and Tressler Road due to flooding.
