Parades and nighttime firework shows at Magic Kingdom are a definite must-see during a visit to Walt Disney World. They are extremely popular, which means they are also very frequently crowded. But – don't stress! We have tips to help you find the perfect spot to enjoy them.

It's not worth it if you want some really good desserts because the desserts are underwhelming and basically what you get at a character buffet. We've only done the post party the couple of times that we've done it because we didn't want to rush through dessert to get a good spot for the fireworks.

Me, personally I always avoid the parks with the extra magic hours simply because they are going to be more crowded with resort guests. If you can manage all 4 theme parks and you have never been there before I would say definately go to all 4, and take the time to see each one if you can.

Therefore, you would not be able to enjoy and attraction after the fireworks, however, you would be able to browse some of the shops that will remain open up to 60 minutes after the park closes or another idea would be to check out Disney's Boardwalk which is walking distance at the back entrance of EPCOT.

The fireworks are never fully cancelled if they were set by the pyro CM's, but can be severely delayed. If there's a ton of rain or very high winds then fireworks can be postponed for hours. It doesn't happen too often, but it does happen.
