Are Disney World tickets transferable?

Once a person uses a Disney Theme Park Ticket, all subsequent admissions are specific to that person and cannot be transferred to anyone else. If you have not yet used a ticket, you may transfer it to another person. You may also buy a new theme park ticket online or at the theme park Main Entrance.

At Walt Disney World in 2026, the transferability of a ticket depends entirely on whether it has been used. Unused tickets are fully transferable; if you have purchased a ticket and linked it to your "My Disney Experience" account but have not yet entered a park, you can "reassign" that ticket to any person on your Family & Friends list via the app or website. However, once a ticket is used for the first time, it becomes non-transferable. Disney uses biometric finger scans (and increasingly, facial recognition technology for "MagicMobile" users) at the park entrance to link the ticket to a specific individual. You cannot "share" a multi-day pass with another person for different days of the trip. If you have an unused ticket that has expired, you can usually apply the price paid for that ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value at a Disney Guest Relations window.
