Are MagicBands waterproof 2023?

I am happy to tell you that MagicBands are absolutely waterproof! We wear ours to the pool, to the Disney Water Parks, on attractions where you get wet and in the Florida rain. There is no need to worry about keeping them covered or dry as they can be completely submerged without any damage.

Currently most of the Disney Resort hotel pools and water parks use bromine rather than chlorine to keep the water clean. My children are much more tolerant of bromine and can extend their splash time when playing in pools that use bromine to sanitize the water.

If your MagicBands are still useable, all you need to do to reuse them is to make sure your new Walt Disney World theme park tickets and reservations are linked to the same My Disney Experience account that your MagicBands are on.

They run off of a small battery inside the band. Disney says the batteries are designed to last for 2 years. I have read of batteries lasting for up to five years. Since a Disney Magic Band is just a link to your My Disney Experience account, it can be used for many trips until the battery no longer works.
