Are there any water rides in Islands of Adventure?

Universal Islands of Adventure is known for its iconic water rides in Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park, but I prefer a little bit of a warm up before I charge straight into the soak zone.

Yes, Universal’s Islands of Adventure is famous for having some of the most immersive water attractions in the world, though there is a major update for 2026. The primary water rides include Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, which is a high-speed log flume that leaves riders completely soaked, and Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges, a river rapids ride known for being one of the "wettest" attractions in any theme park. However, travelers should be aware that the iconic Jurassic Park River Adventure is scheduled for a massive, multi-month refurbishment throughout most of 2026, beginning in January and not expected to reopen until late November. During this downtime, the ride's sister attraction in Hollywood has set a precedent for high-tech upgrades. If you are visiting in early to mid-2026, you will still have the "splashes" of the Toon Lagoon rides, but the prehistoric boat tour may be behind construction walls.
