Is 1 day enough for Universal Studios Orlando?

The Universal Orlando Resort is a sprawling, three-park complex located in central Florida. Although it can be a little overwhelming to visit, you can do Universal in one day.

In 2026, one day is generally not enough to see Universal Studios Orlando, largely due to the massive expansion of the resort with the opening of Epic Universe. Previously, a dedicated traveler could "park hop" between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure in a single, very long day with an Express Pass. However, with three full-scale theme parks plus the Volcano Bay water park, the resort has officially become a multi-day destination. To truly experience the headline attractions—including the various Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas and the new lands in Epic Universe—most experts now recommend a minimum of three to four days. If you only have one day, you will have to choose between parks or purchase an expensive multi-park "Park-to-Park" ticket and accept that you will likely miss more than 60% of the available rides and shows, even if you utilize "Single Rider" lines or "Universal Express" to bypass the longest wait times.
