There are actually more than two Atlantis resorts, although the two most famous "sister" properties are Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas and Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. Both are legendary for their massive scale, intricate "Lost City of Atlantis" themes, and world-class water parks. Atlantis Paradise Island is the original, featuring the iconic Royal Towers and a massive open-air marine habitat. Atlantis, The Palm is located on the crescent of the man-made Palm Jumeirah island and is known for its even more opulent design and the Aquaventure Waterpark, which is one of the largest in the world. However, the brand expanded further with the opening of Atlantis Sanya in Hainan, China, which replicates much of the same underwater-themed luxury and water park excitement for the Asian market. There is also a newer, ultra-luxury addition in Dubai called Atlantis The Royal, which sits right next to The Palm but features a vastly different, modern "stacking block" architectural style. While they share a name and a central theme of aquatic wonder, each resort is tailored to its specific geographical location and offers unique high-end experiences ranging from "The Dig" aquarium in the Bahamas to Michelin-starred dining in Dubai.
