In 2026, a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Annual Pass cannot be transferred once it has been activated and used. Disney's policy is "non-transferable and non-refundable"; when you first enter the park, your pass is linked to your biometrics (fingerprint) or a photo, making it legally tied to your identity. However, there is a small window for change: if you have purchased an Annual Pass but have not yet activated it or linked it to a specific person in the "My Disney Experience" app, you can reassign the "entitlement" to another person in your family and friends list. Once that first "tap" at the gate occurs, the pass is locked to that individual for its entire duration. For 2026 Passholders, this means you cannot "lend" your pass to a friend for the weekend, as doing so is considered a violation of the terms of service and can result in the permanent revocation of your pass without a refund.
