Can I bring my umbrella to Disneyland?

You will be pleased to learn that umbrellas are allowed inside both Theme Parks. For your reference, I believe it is also crucial to know what items are prohibited. Arnold, I commend you for visiting the Disneyland Resort on a rainy day.

Yes, you are absolutely allowed to bring an umbrella into Disneyland and Disney World in 2026. Umbrellas are a highly recommended accessory for both the intense California/Florida sun (providing portable shade) and the frequent afternoon tropical rain showers. There are no size restrictions for personal umbrellas, provided they are not used in a way that obstructs the view of other guests during parades or fireworks. Many guests prefer compact, travel-sized umbrellas that can easily fit into a backpack when not in use. It is important to note that while umbrellas are allowed in the park, they must be closed and safely stowed when you are on rides or in indoor attractions. For safety reasons, "golf umbrellas" or large beach umbrellas are generally discouraged because they can be difficult to manage in crowded queues. If you forget your own, Disney sells themed umbrellas at most major merchandise locations, such as the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., though they are significantly more expensive than bringing your own from home.

My best recommendation would be to budget about $100.00 per day for expenditures (not including dining experiences). We've gone with less than this amount and more than this amount, and find that its a pretty good figure. We usually allocate this for drinks, souvenirs, ice cream/snacks in the parks and window shopping.

On a 90 degree Florida day, a nice quick soak might feel refreshing. With the heat, you also get dry faster. If you visit Orlando in the colder months and you ride a big splash ride at night, you might find yourself shivering just a bit. In these situations, ponchos might be more of a benefit.
