Technically, you can cancel a Disneyland Magic Key reservation on the day of your visit, but doing so will not prevent you from receiving a "No-Show" strike. According to the 2026 Magic Key terms, a reservation must be cancelled by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on the day before your arrival to avoid a penalty. If you cancel on the day of, or simply do not show up, it is recorded as a no-show. If a Magic Key holder accumulates three no-shows within a 90-day window, their ability to make new park reservations is suspended for 30 days. This policy is strictly enforced to prevent "reservation hoarding" and to ensure that as many guests as possible can access the parks. If you have a true emergency on the day of your visit, some guests have reported success by visiting a Guest Relations window in person or calling the Magic Key service line, but "same-day" cancellations are generally considered forfeited. For those with a "Park Hopper" benefit on their Key, you only need to "tap in" to your first reserved park to satisfy the reservation; once you have entered that first park, you are free to leave or hop without any no-show penalty.
