Can I transfer my Velocity points to Virgin Atlantic?

From 2 November 2021 Velocity members are able to redeem points for flights across the Virgin Atlantic network. Note that the routes operated by Virgin Atlantic may be subject to COVID-19 restrictions, and not all flights will have Reward Seats available.

In 2026, you can effectively use your Velocity Frequent Flyer points (Virgin Australia) for travel on Virgin Atlantic, but it does not function as a direct "one-to-one" point transfer between accounts. Instead, the partnership allows for direct award bookings. You can log into your Velocity account and search for "Reward Seats" on Virgin Atlantic-operated flights, particularly the popular routes between London and the US or Asia. The points required are determined by Velocity’s partner reward table. If you are looking to move points into the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club (Flying Club) program specifically, there is no native "Points Transfer" button for consumers to shift balances between the two separate legal entities. However, because both airlines are part of a broader "Virgin" brand family and share various deep-seated codeshare agreements, Velocity members enjoy reciprocal benefits like lounge access and priority boarding when flying Virgin Atlantic. To maximize value, it is usually better to book the Virgin Atlantic flight directly through the Velocity portal rather than looking for a way to "convert" the points.
