Can you avoid scare zones at HHN?

Just note that even if they don't plan on going into houses, scare actors are still walking around. They make it a point to jump out and scare you. There really is no avoiding walking through the scare zones.

One main Safe Zone is the sidewalks… when you are walking through the scare zones and you don't want to be jumped scared then take the sidewalks in that area, scare actors don't get to those points.

Who is Halloween Horror Nights for? This event was created with the horror fan in mind. And while Universal recommends attendees be 13 years of age and up, no minimum age is required to attend. The live scare actors may look like they're coming close to you, but they are never allowed to touch you.

Wear t-shirts from your favorite horror movies and match them with skater skirts. It can still be brutally humid in September and October. Pants might be too much, especially if you plan on getting there before the sun goes down. I prefer skirts (with pockets if possible), leggings or tights, and comfortable shoes.

Overall, the experience of Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights is worth it if you are truly interested in horror and meeting like-minded people. The lines will be long, yes. The food will be overpriced, of course.

Are haunted house/scare zone actors allowed to make physical contact? Just want to know what to expect. They're not allowed to intentionally touch or grab you, but just be aware that minor contact (like lightly bumping into you) may happen accidentally, especially in crowded scarezones.
