For Genie+ attractions, navigate to your Tip Board where you can only book the next available time window, which could be as soon as five minutes later or hours away. You cannot make them in advance for times that are later in the day.



In 2026, the system formerly known as Genie Plus has been rebranded at Walt Disney World to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and the big news is that yes, you can now book in advance. Under the current rules, guests staying at Disney Resort hotels (and other select hotels) can purchase and make their first three Lightning Lane selections up to 7 days in advance of their stay. All other guests can book up to 3 days in advance. This change was a direct response to guest feedback requesting the ability to plan before arriving at the park. On the day of your visit, once you use your first pre-booked selection, you can then use the app to book additional "rolling" selections one at a time, subject to availability. This 2026 system effectively combines the pre-planning benefits of the old "FastPass+" with the paid flexibility of the original Genie+ era, allowing families to secure popular rides like Slinky Dog Dash or Haunted Mansion well before they ever step through the turnstiles.

Disney Genie+ is a magical upgrade to your ticket that allows you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the theme parks. What's the 120 minute rule? The way Genie+ ride reservations work is that you can book one at a time, and can either make another selection after two hours (120 minutes) or once you tap into your previous Genie+ selection (both tapstiles at attractions that have two)—whichever comes first.
