Can you bring cash to Kings Island?

What forms of payment does Kings Island accept? Kings Island is now cashless. All of our in-park locations only accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

You can bring cash to Kings Island, but you cannot use it directly at the park's restaurants, shops, or ticket windows. As of 2026, Kings Island (owned by Six Flags) is a fully cashless park. This means all in-park locations only accept credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you only have cash, the park provides Cash-to-Card kiosks (located at the Front Gate, Festhaus, and several other major points) where you can insert your bills and receive a prepaid Visa debit card for the equivalent amount. There are no fees to use these kiosks or the resulting card, and the card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, not just inside Kings Island. This system is designed to speed up transaction times and increase security for both guests and staff. While the "no-cash" policy might be a slight hurdle for younger guests or those without bank accounts, the kiosks provide a seamless way to convert physical currency into the digital format required to enjoy the park's food, merchandise, and games.
