Can you bring pool floats to Disney pools?

There are no specific prohibitions against personal floatation devices at the Disney pools. Several of the pools have nearby shops that sell water wings, pool noodles, and the like. However, while they are not banned outright, you may want to avoid bringing large rafts to small pools.

At Walt Disney World and Disneyland in 2026, the use of personal pool floats is generally restricted at the resort hotel pools. While small "pool noodles" and child-sized "puddle jumpers" or life vests (which are provided for free by Disney at every pool) are allowed, large inflatable rafts, inner tubes, or "giant unicorns" are prohibited because they can obstruct the view of the lifeguards. However, at the Disney Water Parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach), you are provided with specialized inner tubes for the lazy rivers and wave pools. It is a high-value peer tip to know that if you have a baby, very small "float seats" with a canopy are often permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. If you bring your own float, you can keep it in your room for a beach day at the Atlantic coast, but for the "Main Feature" pools at the resorts, sticking to the provided life vests ensures you stay compliant with Disney's strict "Safety First" aquatic policies.

Most resorts let you bring in your own floatie's.. We usually buy a few cheapie ones in Cancun to use because of the weight of the plastic floats in your suitcase. Last trip (Punta Cana) we brought two from home and put them in our carry-on bag. At the end of our trip we past them on to people we met at the resort..

Helpful? You most certainly can drink from the water fountains and from the tap. In fact many people bring in water bottles and keep refilling their bottles to stay hydrated. We did that and didn't get sick in fact the people who worked at Disney said it's perfectly safe to drink the water there.

For most all attractions there, you'll even be able to wear them down the water slides. Do make sure they are true water shoes, however, as flip flops are not permitted on the water slides themselves. I will say that I have pretty sensitive feet but most of the time I don't pack water shoes for the water park.
