In 2026, you are technically allowed to bring tobacco products (such as cigarettes, cigars, and chewing tobacco) onto Disney property, but you are strictly forbidden from using them inside the theme parks. Since May 2019, both Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World in Florida have been entirely smoke-free. All designated smoking areas inside the parks have been removed. If you wish to smoke or vape, you must exit the park gates and use the designated smoking areas located outside the security perimeters or near the park entrances. This policy also applies to "e-cigarettes" and vaping devices. While security will not confiscate your tobacco during the bag check process, they will remind you of the rules. For guests staying at Disney-owned hotels, smoking is also prohibited in guest rooms and on balconies, with steep cleaning fees (often $250–$500) applied to those who violate the policy. This move was made to enhance the "family-friendly" atmosphere and reduce secondhand smoke exposure for children.
