Can you get cold medicine in Disney?

The First Aid centers in all the parks have a supply of over-the-counter medications. If you are in a resort, you will find some basic supplies of pain relievers and cold and allergy remedies for sale in the gift shops.

If you begin to feel ill or find that you require medical assistance, please visit one of our conveniently located First Aid centers. Nurses are available during normal park operating hours to offer over-the-counter medications, bandages and other quick remedies so that you can begin enjoying your vacation again.

Since we were near it, we went into the Bonjour Village Gift Shop in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom and asked if they had Tums. The Cast Member retrieved a storage box full of OTC medications and we were able to get the Tums we needed. There was also acetaminophen, ibuprofen, DayQuil, Pepto Bismol, and a few others.

But back to your question, unfortunately, theme park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but the good news is that they are valid until their stated expiration date! So if you do happen to get sick, hopefully, you can find another date in the future that will work for you!

Disney's website does not have any specific guidelines regarding over-the-counter or prescription medication. Generally any medication that is clearly marked as prescribed with a guest's name is permitted so long as it is not in a glass container.

Registering for a DAS pass is a great way to navigate Disney if you have a clinically diagnosed illness or disability. A DAS pass allows you to avoid waiting in crowded spaces, and instead allows you to do other things while you wait by booking an “appointment” to experience an attraction later in the day!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for guests who have a difficult time waiting in long lines for various reasons. I've heard of people using this service for a physical disability like severe plantar fasciitis to psychological disabilities like anxiety or being on the autism spectrum.

Disney also offers what's called Disability Access Service to guests (you're not a “visitor” — you're a “guest”!) who are unable to wait in a long line due to a disability. The card allows you to go to an attraction and get a set time to come back and experience the ride.

As Disneyland is smoke-free, many people wonder if they can bring vape pens. Vape pens can be smuggled into Disneyland, but it's not recommended. Using a vape pen in the park will get you asked to leave and maybe barred from returning. Leave your vape pen at home if you're visiting Disneyland.

You could risk losing your ability to enter the parks and use the theme park tickets you've spent a fortune on. When you arrive at the park, you agree to follow their rules throughout your day.

Please note that while you may be able to bring your vape through security, smoking is prohibited on Disneyland Resort Property. This includes both parks, the Esplanade between the parks, as well as the Downtown Disney District and Hotel. If you need to take a break, you will have to travel off-property to smoke.
