Unfortunately, there isn't an option for a dining ticket or ticket that only grants you entry to the theme park for part of the day. So if you will be visiting Epcot for dinner, you could definitely spend a full day exploring the attractions, entertainment, dining and magic in the theme park.

In general, you should think of Epcot as a two-day park. There's so much to see and do that you really need a couple of days to enjoy everything without feeling like you're rushing through the park. But we recognize that most people can't or won't give two of their precious days at Disney to Epcot.
We've found it to be a far more pleasant transportation experience than leaving an hour or two later. Our normal recommendation is to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of Early Theme Park Entry. That remains the case with Epcot, without regard for which ride you want to do first.
Is Epcot fun? For the right visitor, yes. If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park.
