Can you get on Tron early?

Most Guests have two chances to get a boarding group: 7 am and 1 pm. You do not have to be in the park for the 7 am attempt, but you DO need to have checked into Magic Kingdom for the 1 pm option.

The 6 pm virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle Run during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has been filling up almost instantly. We're talking under 10 seconds for all of the parties thus far, which is fairly comparable to Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom.

Let's face it, these ride vehicles aren't great if you're wearing a skirt or a dress. There isn't any graceful way to board. So, you might want to plan your outfit if you're going to ride TRON. The roller coaster goes very fast and there won't be a safe or good way for you to hold down your dress or skirt, if needed.

Yes. Guests who get a Boarding Group for TRON during regular hours are still eligible to enter the Virtual Queue at 6 p.m. on days when Extended Evening Hours are offered. If you get an Individual Lightning Lane too, this could give you three rides on TRON in a single day!

MORE DETAILS

The virtual queue first opens at 7AM to guests who have a Park Pass reservation for Magic Kingdom, then opens again at 1PM to guests who are inside Magic Kingdom. So if you miss the first drop, you can try again for the second.

I can't speak to the average wait time, but if it's outside the attraction entrance, you're looking at 30 minutes at the very least. If the Lightning Lane is backed up, virtual queue return wait times of 60-90 minutes are entirely plausible, as priority is given to paid Lightning Lane users.

Select one member of your party to access the virtual queue to check for an available boarding group for everyone in your party. If multiple people in your party try to join the virtual queue simultaneously, that may inhibit your ability to join a group.

Most Walt Disney World Resort attractions are suitable for Guests of any height, but there are some Disney thrills worth growing up for. With a minimum height requirement of 48 inches, TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom Park is one of those thrills.

I fit great on the test seats and had an easy time loading onto the ride itself. I did see a woman of a similar size as me for whom the test seats did not work, and I think it was because she had larger calves. The ride has a bar that drops behind your calves as a point of security.

If you have a thrill seeker who enjoys speed, Tron will not be too scary for them. One thing to note: it's a relatively short ride that truly only lasts 60 seconds once in motion. So even if Tron turns out to be scary, it should be a very short experience.

TRON is most similar to the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster over at Hollywood Studios, which is also a catapult-launched, indoor coaster. TRON is by far the most intense coaster in the Magic Kingdom, although it doesn't have any loops or inversions.
