Can you just pay to get into Delta Sky Club?

Unlike some other airlines, Delta does not offer pay-per-visit access to Delta Sky Club® lounges unless you have either of the following co-branded cards. The cost is $50 per person and cardholders may purchase passes for themselves and up to two guests or immediate family through Dec. 31, 2023. Starting Jan.

The Card Member may only use two one-time guest passes per Delta Sky Club visit. One-time guest passes are non-transferable, cannot be assigned or sold, and have no cash value. Benefit valid only at Delta Sky Clubs. Partner lounges are not included.

Delta bars employees without paid tickets from Sky Club lounges as it struggles with long lines and overcrowding. Delta employees will be barred from the airline's Sky Club lounges unless they pay for a ticket. That means flight attendants and pilots will not be permitted access when flying standby for free.

It's important to note that Delta One is not the same as Delta's official first class. The airline's first class is only available on shorter and domestic flights, while Delta One is usually available on international flights with a few exceptions, like the one I took to San Francisco.
