Can you just queue for Guardians of the Galaxy?

A Virtual Queue is a tool available through the My Disney Experience app which allows guests to reserve a space in line for the most popular park attractions ? in this case, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This space is referred to as a Boarding Pass for use within an assigned Boarding Group.

As of February 25, 2026, the answer is yes. In a major operational shift, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT has officially discontinued its Virtual Queue system and switched to a traditional Standby Queue. This means you no longer have to wake up at 7:00 AM to "join a boarding group" on your phone; you can simply walk up to the attraction and wait in line at any time during the day. However, for those who want to skip the long wait—which is expected to average 60–120 minutes in early 2026—the Lightning Lane Single Pass remains available for purchase. This change is a "high-value" win for spontaneous travelers who prefer the certainty of a physical line over the "lottery" of a digital queue, though arriving at "Rope Drop" is still the best strategy to avoid the longest midday wait times.
