Can you meet characters at Animal Kingdom?

The number of Animal Kingdom characters available for meet and greets is less than you will find in other Disney Parks, but they still feature a few unique opportunities. In addition to the fab 5 you can also find some characters that are more animal related. The one thing you won't find much of here? Princesses.

Unlike Up Close With Rhinos, which allows you to “meet” Animal Kingdom's white rhinos, you will not get close to the elephants. The viewing area gets you closer than you will get on Kilimanjaro Safari, but not close. Emma told us not to raise our arms or call out to the elephants.

The Adventurers Outpost is one of the best places to meet up with your friends, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Uniquely themed expedition-ready outfits make the pair quite a sight in the perfect meeting and greet experience in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom is very appropriate for kids ages 6 to 12 or any kiddos who appreciate animals and nature. The park is nicely spread out, and there's definitely a slower pace here (compared to Magic Kingdom). This allows you to go at your own pace, explore the side trails, and take in the scenery.

You'll find the most princesses at Magic Kingdom, followed by EPCOT. Traditional meet-and-greets are the best way to get individual time with the princesses at Disney World. It's so lovely to chat with our favorite royalty as they sign autograph books and give out royal hugs!
