Can you stay in Disneyland after closing?

I will stay in Disneyland after closing time even when the park stays open until midnight and even if I am tired just to still be there and experience that special time. Yes, you can be in a ride line at closing time. If you are in line and it is closing time, the ride does not shut down.

You cannot "stay" in Disneyland indefinitely after the official park closing time, but the "closing time" listed on the schedule is actually when the lines for the rides close, not when the park must be empty. In 2026, if you are in a line at 11:59 PM for a midnight closing, you will be allowed to ride. After exiting your final attraction, you can slowly make your way toward the exit, which often takes 30 to 60 minutes. During this time, the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. usually remain open for another hour to allow for last-minute souvenir shopping. Security will gently "sweep" the park from the back to the front to ensure all guests are moving toward the gates. However, there are special "Disney After Hours" events which are separately ticketed; if you have a ticket for these, you can stay for an extra 3 hours with very low crowds. If you are not part of an event, you must eventually exit to the Downtown Disney District, which stays open even later. You cannot sleep in the park, as it undergoes heavy maintenance and cleaning throughout the night.
