Cane-pole fishing is available at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort, or experience a (maximum) group of 5 on a guided bass excursion in the Bay Lake and Seven Seas lagoon areas (available from most Disney area villas, resorts and campgrounds).
The deepest end of the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is roughly 12 feet deep, so you'll want to have close supervision over children and those who are not strong swimmers.
Lagoona is a resident of Typhoon Lagoon, being an alligator which came to flourish following the hurricane that terraformed Placid Palms. He is noted for having a successful history of beach parties, music-playing, and surfing.
These areas include Nemo's Reef on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, Nephews' Splash Zone aboard the Disney Magic and Dory's Reef aboard the Disney Wonder. Please note: swim diapers are not permitted in hot tubs, spas or any Disney Cruise Line pools or waterslides, including the AquaDuck, AquaDunk and AquaLab.
Typhoon Lagoon and the weatherThe water at Typhoon Lagoon is heated, making the park a good choice to visit during most days of the year; however, during inclement weather or if an extended bout of cold temperatures are predicted, Disney will close the water parks.
Be advised that the lazy river is deep at 8 feet so be sure to use a complementary life vest. The biggest surprise of all – spoiler alert – the bottom of the pool is sand! That's a bonus treat for tired feet at the end of a Disney day.
The Swan was managed by Westin Hotels & Resorts, and the Dolphin by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Eisner had used Graves for other company projects and wanted to continue to build striking, unique buildings. Tishman and MetLife own the buildings, but have a 99-year lease on the land from Disney.
In the first five years, four of their six original dolphins had died. Three of the deaths were believed to have been caused by or contributed to by an aggressive tank mate named Bob. Epcot currently holds three remaining captive dolphins.
