Can you take the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Polynesian?

The best way to travel from Wilderness Lodge to 'Ohana, at the Polynesian Resort is by boat and monorail! First, you will need to board the water launch headed across Bay Lake to the Contemporary Resort. Once at the Contemporary, you'll need to head inside and upstairs to the Monorail station.

There is no direct boat service that travels directly between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. These two resorts are located on separate bodies of water: Wilderness Lodge is on Bay Lake, while the Polynesian is situated on the Seven Seas Lagoon. To travel between them by water, you must take a boat from Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom entrance, disembark, and then transfer to the "Gold Launch" boat (or the Resort Monorail) which services the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Magic Kingdom. Alternatively, you can take a boat from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary Resort, walk to the Magic Kingdom, and then catch the boat to the Polynesian. While the boat rides are scenic and a favorite "attraction" for many guests, this transfer process can take anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes depending on wait times. If you are in a hurry for a dining reservation at the Polynesian’s 'Ohana or Kona Cafe, a direct rideshare like Uber or a Disney Minnie Van is much faster, as it avoids the central Magic Kingdom transportation hub entirely.
